FORGING 6061<\/p>\n

Why forge 6061 instead of machining it<\/h2>\n

6061 is hot-forged and then solution-treated and aged to T6. Closed-die forging compresses the grain structure and aligns it with the part’s load path, so forged 6061-T6 carries higher fatigue loads than the same shape cut from plate or bar.<\/p>\n
